Flight planning for the trip you're actually taking
The fare is only one line of the trip's cost. A small savings that lands you at a farther airport, at midnight, with an expensive ride to the hotel isn't a savings at all. Our flight coverage weighs those tradeoffs out loud.
We look at nonstop versus connecting routes, how much connection time to allow at different airports, when basic economy works and when it doesn't, and how bag fees change the math for families. For points and miles, we stick to the basics: what a program is good for, what it isn't, and when paying cash is simply the better deal.
We don't promise cheap flights or quote prices that will be gone tomorrow. We'll explain how fares tend to behave so you can decide when to book and when to wait. Until our first flight guides publish, the reading list below tracks airline and loyalty news from The Points Guy.
